TRIVAX unleash their magnum opus and third full-length album, "The Great Satan".
Not to be mistaken with a typical Black Metal title, "The Great Satan" is a bold statement on the dark side of Islam, Middle Eastern turmoil, particularly the devastating 1979 Islamic Revolution in Iran, led by the mullahs.
The cover depicts Ayatollah Khomeini as The Great Satan, responsible for relentless oppression, as well as countless deaths - including children (As explored in Operation Ramadan) through religious extremism and deceit. Burning mosques in the background of the artwork reinforce the band's resentful vision. This is no fantasy Satanism, but real-world darkness.
Musically and thematically, the album embodies rebellion, violence, and ecstasy, unafraid to say what many so-called extreme bands will not. Beyond its fearless concept, The Great Satan is TRIVAX's most dynamic and sophisticated work to date, with razor-sharp production by Samuel Turbit at Ritual Sound.
This is a statement of radical extreme art. "لا أرباب لا أسياد / No Gods, No Masters!"
A striking fusion of Middle Eastern melodies and Metal, including weaving the haunting sounds of the Oud and Baglama into a relentless sonic assault. The lyrics shift between English, Persian, and Arabic, amplifying the album's cultural depth and defiance. Each track is a world of its own, merging the raw power of Death, Black, and even Thrash Metal with rich cultural influences.
